I honestly thought my lipstick had gone bad because every shade was looking patchy. I used this while I finished the rest of my makeup, peeled it off after about 10 minutes and followed with the balm. Then I applied the exact same lipstick. It stopped catching on the dry pieces and looked so much more even.
This is the first product I’ve used that softens my flaky lips before I put my lipstick over it. I still use lip balm, but now it feels like it is actually sealing in moisture instead of just coating the dryness.
I was nervous because “peel-off” sounded like it would hurt. It is nothing like ripping dried glue from your lips, it's actually so gentle. The dry pieces came away without leaving my lips sore or red. It felt much gentler than I expected and there was no aggressive pulling.

Love this! I used to use the laneige sleep masks and they worked well but i couldn't stand sleeping in thick lip masks. They end up on my pillow, stuck in my hair or rubbed off before morning anyway. This works during my makeup routine and is much more convenient vs sleeping in something thick and sticky.

At 61, I had started thinking lipstick simply wasn’t made for my lips anymore. This doesn’t erase natural lip lines, and I don't know why I expected it to. But it does removes the flaky texture that was making those lines look so much worse. I feel comfortable wearing my favourite pink lipstick again.
My lips react badly to strong minty products and rough exfoliators, so I tested this carefully the first time. It felt lightly cooling but never burning or aggressively tingly. After peeling it away, my lips looked calm and felt soft rather than stripped. I finally got the smoothing effect I wanted without feeling like I had irritated my lips to get it.
Giving it four stars because my first application was way too thick. It took longer to set and came off in little pieces, so I thought I had wasted my money. The second time, I used a much thinner and more even layer and it worked completely differently. Thin and even is definitely the trick. The tube is also lasting longer than I expected because you really do not need much each time.
